HIALEAH, Fla. – The driver of a truck carrying nuclear medicine was killed when the vehicle crashed into a tree.

The crash happened on the westbound Gratigny Expressway ramp near W. 4th Avenue and 78th Street in Hialeah about 10 a.m. Thursday, said Hialeah Fire Rescue.

A coworker of the driver picked up the medicine after the crash. Hialeah Fire Rescue said all readings in the area came back normal.

The medicine is used to treat cancer patients.

The driver wasn't immediately identified.
