Due to part of the asphalt and earth caving in, crews said it will take a while to repair since they are currently at about groundwater level. For now, crews will have to suck the water out before they can get to the line and make repairs.

The pipe is only about 8 to 10 years old. It is unclear at this time what caused this to happen.

Crews were waiting for the proper machinery to arrive to pump the water out.

Several homes in the area were without water. However, no homes were flooded in any way.
