An abandoned home in Miami suffered severe damage after a fire broke out Wednesday morning.
Miami Fire Rescue arrived to the home at 1780 SW 5th Street just after 9 a.m.
Fire officials say heavy smoke from the flames could be seen several blocks away. Upon arrival, the flames had already spread to several rooms inside the home and the roof was beginning to collapse in the front part of the home.
According to neighbors, no one lives in the house, but it is known to have squatters from time to time.
No one was inside the home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
