MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County medical examiner's report obtained Thursday by Local 10 News describes in detail how a 91-year-old woman was killed in a dog attack last month.
Carmen Reigada was found unresponsive in her southwest Miami-Dade County home Sept. 22. She was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where she later died.

Miami-Dade police said at the time that she may have been attacked by three dogs at the home.
The report, filed Tuesday by associate medical examiner Sean Hurst and deputy chief medical examiner Emma O. Lew, confirms that Reigada died of dog bites to her head, neck and extremities.

Autopsy findings reveal that Reigada's flesh was torn from her face and scalp. She also had multiple puncture wounds to her neck.
"The skin of the scalp and most of the face is absent," the report said, noting that bone was exposed on portions of her face.
Bone was exposed on portions of her face, and her upper lip was missing, the report said.
The report also revealed that Reigada suffered multiple rib fractures, lacerations to her liver and lungs, and contusions to her liver, lungs and heart.
An American bulldog, a Rhodesian ridgeback and a Labrador-mix were removed from the home. They remain in the care of Miami-Dade County Animal Services.
