FBI searches for man who robbed 2 banks in Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – The FBI released photos of two bank robberies that occurred in Pembroke Pines Wednesday, and agents believe the same man is responsible.

The first robbery was reported about 3:50 p.m. at a Citibank branch at 8411 Pines Blvd.

About 10 minutes later, a person who is believed to be the same robber, demanded cash from an employee at a Wells Fargo Bank branch at 702 N. University Drive.

According to agents, the man entered the banks and demanded cash from employees.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in both cases.

Agents said customers were inside the banks at the time of the robberies, but no injuries were reported.
