COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A 10-year-old boy was bitten by a shark while swimming at Cocoa Beach.
He was swimming in waist deep water, with his mother, when the shark bit his lower right leg.

He sustained deep lacerations by the shark, which lifeguards said they believe to be 4-5 feet in length.
The boy was air-lifted from Cape Canaveral Hospital to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando.
