POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -

An argument over a girl led a man to kill his cousin, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested 22-year-old James Toussaint on Tuesday.

Three days before, Toussaint and his cousin, 22-year-old Rodney Toussaint, argued and fought, apparently over a girl, said investigators. Rodney Toussaint left after the fight but returned to the 300 block of Northwest 12th Court about an hour later.

Investigators said James Toussaint's Toyota Corrolla was seen heading west on the street when it stopped. He got out, shot at his cousin, then left.

When deputies arrived, they found Rodney Toussaint lying dead on the pavement.

James Toussaint was charged with first-degree murder.
