FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman visiting from New York found an AR-15 rifle in her rental car that was left behind by the wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Lauren Tannehill rented a 2013 Nissan Rogue on Jan. 4 from EZ Car Rental at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, but when she returned it later that day, she left the rifle in the back seat.

Judith Fleissig, 58, of Rochester, N.Y., rented the same car later that day. Two days later, she noticed the rifle in the back seat and called the rental company.
Someone with EZ Car Rental told Fleissig that she should turn the rifle over to the closest police station, so she took it to Hillsboro Beach police.
The Tannehills say the issue is a personal matter and that the gun is legally registered, according to the Dolphins.
No charges have been filed.
