MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A car crashed into a fence Monday morning outside Madie Ives Elementary School in northeast Miami-Dade County, authorities said.
A photo taken from the scene at 20770 NE 14th Ave. shows a blue car that struck a pole holding the school’s marquee sign after the car crashed through the fence.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials said the driver might have suffered a seizure or medical issue before losing control of the car.
School officials said the marquee was not damaged and no children were injured.
