The deputy called for backup and followed Kalinowski southbound on Interstate 95 to the mobile home park, where he got out of his vehicle, ran off, and hid in a shed, police say. He was later taken into custody.

The 27-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter, who were both in Kalinowski's vehicle during the chase, weren't injured.

Kalinowski was charged with cruelty toward a child, false imprisonment of an adult, false imprisonment of a child under 13 years old, resisting an officer without violence, and fleeing/eluding law enforcement. He was also held on two out-of-county holds.
