Coral Glades HS senior named US Presidential Scholar semifinalist

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A Coral Glades High School senior was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar semifinalist Monday.

Ronald Laracuente is among 500 semifinalists.

Scholars are selected on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in the community and school activities. The U.S. Department of Education will announce the Scholars in May.
