I-95 SB express lanes reopen after police-involved crash

Lanes were shut down for several hours after crash involving Miami Gardens police car

MIAMI – The express lanes of I-95 SB in Miami have reopened after they were temporarily shut down because of a crash involving a Miami Gardens police car.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, near the exit for NW 125th Street (exit 13), before 6:30 Friday morning. Traffic has been backed up for miles as a result of those lane closures.

The Miami Gardens cop car was towed from the scene around 7:30 a.m. The scene was clear by 7:45.

Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene, but has not released any more information. Local 10 has a crew on the scene. Check back to Local10.com for updates, as they become available.
