MIAMI – Parts of Biscayne Boulevard were shut down in Miami Wednesday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a car near NE 14th Street.
According to a Miami police, about 6:50 a.m., 46-year-old Evangelo Christos Belekis was crossing Biscayne Boulevard at 14th Street when he was struck by a white Porsche in the northbound lanes.

The driver stayed at the scene following the crash.
Belekis was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
It's unclear who caused the crash.
