MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – While in in a stolen car, a group of armed men decided to rob a woman who was walking by herself in South Beach, police said. One lifted her skirt from behind. She screamed.
They took her purse, cell phone and about $500. And they got away in a red Nissan Altima. A Miami Beach police officer spotted the group in the stolen car, but they sped away.

They later abandoned the car with Michael McClure's finger prints on the driver's side window.
Miami-Dade County Detectives linked the 18-year-old D.A. Dorsey Educational Center student with a juvenile record to a series of crimes -- including the murder of Gustavo A. Marin.
Early Wednesday morning, Marin, 32, got in his car on his way to work to the Ritz Carlton. But he didn't make it.
Three robbers attacked him when he was inside his car.
Marin, who doesn't have a criminal record, was shot once and left for dead in the parking lot of the apartment complex where he lived near Miami Lakes.
Marin served in the U.S. Navy in 2002 and later worked for Marriott and Royal Caribbean, according to his Facebook profile.
McClure's crime spree before Marin's murder, according to police:
-July 30: Early in the morning, four men threatened a man on his way to work in Brownsville and took his red 2013 Nissan Altima, cell phone and wallet at gun point.
- July 30: A man robbed a woman at gun point about 9 a.m., near Ninth Street and Lenox Avenue in South Beach. The gunman took her cell phone and fled in the stolen Nissan Altima. A witness reported the tag number.
- Aug. 1: About 3:30 a.m., three men walked up to a woman who was walking near 10th Street and Meridian Avenue. Two were armed. They fled in the Nissan they later abandoned.
About a week later, McClure was in a stolen car again, police said. He was in the front passenger seat of a stolen 2005 Toyota when his friends killed Marin, police said.
The trio sitting behind McClure was armed. They got out of the Toyota to rob Marin, shot him once at the Gleneagles apartments at Northwest 177 Street and 67 Avenue. Police found his body in the parking lot.
Miami-Dade police officers arrested McClure after the murder on Wednesday. They took him to the department's homicide bureau for questioning in the murder on Thursday.
McClure faces charges in all four crimes including first degree murder, three counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest without violence and car jacking.
