HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Two men were arrested Tuesday after a shooting in Hallandale Beach led to a police chase, authorities said.

Hallandale Beach police said Michael Steven Trimble, 22, and Terrance Juwan Brown, 21, are being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami after leading police on a chase that ended in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 just before the Dolphin Expressway.

The driver of the vehicle was detained for questioning, but has not been arrested.

Police said the suspects shot two people just after 11:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Northwest 10th Street.

Authorities found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds and took them to Memorial Regional Hospital. Each victim was shot once and they are both being treated in the hospital's intensive care unit, authorities said.

Police said a third person who was initially believed to have been injured in the shooting suffered a self-inflected wound.

Trimble faces charges of carrying a concealed firearm, grand theft, resisting arrest without violence and two counts of attempted homicide.

Brown was arrested on a warrant for driving with a suspended license and also faces two counts of attempted homicide.
