4 arrested after home burglarized in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Four men were arrested Wednesday after authorities caught them burglarizing a home in Fort Lauderdale, Broward sheriff's deputies said.

According to deputies, the Broward Sheriff's Office and its task-force partners acted on a tip and followed the suspects as they drove around Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale.

Deputies said the men eventually settled on a home in Fort Lauderdale and police set up a perimeter as the suspects ransacked the home.

Authorities said three of the thieves were seen leaving the home with pillowcases in hand.

Kevin Jerome, 20, who deputies said was seen getting into the getaway car, and the driver, Rijkard Desrosiers, 20, were immediately arrested.

Deputies said the other suspects, Oliver Jean Baptiste, 19, and Boris Agenor, 20, were arrested after a short pursuit.

All of the homeowner's valuables were recovered, including an AK-47, ammunition, jewelry and a computer.

The Coral Springs Police Department, Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office assisted BSO in the investigation.
