Man arrested after groping blind student at Broward College, police say

Dovaun Fuller, 23, on probation for burglary

DAVIE, Fla. – A man was arrested Friday for groping a blind woman last month at Broward College, authorities said.

Dovaun Fuller, 23, faces multiple charges, including battery, stalking, abuse of a disabled adult and violation of probation.

According to an arrest report, the victim was using her walking cane to get around the college at  3501 Davie Road June 29 when Fuller approached her near the door of a building while she was waiting for the rain to stop.

The woman told police that Fuller asked for her phone number, and she felt uncomfortable so she tried to leave the building in the rain to get away from him.

Police said surveillance video shows Fuller grabbing the woman from behind and groping her vagina over her clothing.

The student eventually left the building in the rain and went inside the next building.

Police said she immediately became disoriented, because she went through an entrance with which she was unfamiliar.

Fuller followed the woman inside the second building and walked past her without saying anything or trying to help her, police said.

He then approached her from behind again and groped her vagina before leaving "in a hurry, leaving the victim lost and searching for help," the report said.

Police said Fuller identified himself from a still photograph taken from the surveillance video.

Records show that Fuller is currently on probation for burglary.
