Man found shot to death inside SUV in Pompano Beach

Victim's identity not released

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man was found shot to death Wednesday night inside an SUV in Pompano Beach, authorities said.

Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said deputies were responding to a possible accident just after 10:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Northeast Second Avenue and found a green Honda CRV stopped on the grass along the side of the road.

Concepcion said deputies saw a man inside, who had been shot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified Monday as Sael Silvera, 28.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Jimmy Hayes at 954-321-4210. Anonymous tips can be made to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
