Masked robber points gun at cashier's head at Dania Beach convenience store

Thief gets away with undisclosed amount of cash, deputies say

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – An armed masked robber jumped in front of a customer at a South Florida convenience store to rob a clerk, authorities said.

The robbery was reported shortly before 11:30 p.m. April 8 at a Stop N Go at 2501 Stirling Road.

Surveillance video shows the thief waving a gun at the clerk through the open partition and demanding cash.

Deputies said the robber jumped through the opening of the partition when the clerk didn't move quickly enough and pressed a gun to the clerk's head.

The thief snatched money from a box, pistol-whipped the clerk across the head and ordered the clerk to open the cash drawer, deputies said.

Authorities said the thief then dragged and pushed the clerk to open a door for him so he could escape.

The armed robber was wearing a ski mask, a black hoodie with red writing on the front and jeans, deputies said.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Detective Theophilus Woulard at 954-321-4553. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Broward Crime County Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
