According to an arrest report, the 49-year-old woman was walking on the north side of 88th Street when a man in an older-model pickup truck pulled up alongside her and asked if she wanted a ride.

The woman said, "No," and crossed the street to get away from the driver after he offered her $20, the report said.

Police said the driver, Jose Manuel Migenes, 52, got out of his truck, ran toward the woman and pushed her into some bushes.

Police said Migenes told the woman to kiss him and threatened to stab her if she refused.

The victim complied, the report said.

Police said Migenes pulled down the woman's pants and performed oral sex on the woman. Police said he pulled down his own pants and tried to rape the woman, but she was able to run away.

The victim was examined at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center. Miami-Dade police's crime lab processed the rape kit and identified Migenes through a DNA sample, the report said.

Migenes was arrested on an armed sexual battery charge.
