Robbery caught on surveillance video

Two men were caught on surveillance video robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store in Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police are trying to identify two men who were caught on surveillance video robbing a 7-Eleven in Fort Lauderdale.

The armed robbery happened shortly after 5 a.m. Aug. 7 at the 7-Eleven on West McNab Road.

Surveillance video of the robbery shows one man approach the checkout counter posing as a customer, while the other man waits in line behind him. After the cashier walks to the register to scan the man's drink, the man in line behind him pulls out a gun.

Fort Lauderdale police said the men demanded money from the register.

The man in front is seen leaning over the counter, removing money from the register. He takes the cash drawer, and the men hurry out of the store.

Police said the cashier wasn't hurt.
