Thief caught on camera ransacking Ford Focus in Hollywood

Multiple items stolen from inside car, police say

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police are searching for a man who ransacked a car last week.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras about 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Van Buren Street.

Police said the man, who was wearing a white T-shirt and carrying a backpack, opened the unlocked driver's side door of the victim's white, 2013 Ford Focus and rummaged through the vehicle.

The thief is then seen getting out of the car wearing a large hoodie.

Police said he stole multiple items from the car, including a laptop, DVR recorder, sunglasses and a jumper cable.
