Woman dies days after being struck in Plantation hit-and-run

Police search for vehicle with possible front end damage

PLANTATION, Fla. – A woman who was struck by two vehicles in Plantation last week has died, police said.

June Naranjo, 66, was crossing the road at about 6:10 a.m. near the 700 block of North Pine Island Road when she was clipped by a car, Plantation police said.

Police said the driver stopped to help the woman, who was lying on the road, when another vehicle traveling south struck her, causing serious injuries.

The driver of that vehicle didn't stop.

Naranjo was taken to Broward Health Medical Center  and later died.

Police are searching for a beige or tan, possibly a Ford SUV, with front end damage.
