Woman gang raped in Miami-Dade home near 4-year-old son, police say

Woman, 3 men arrested in case

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ A 30-year-old woman was gang raped over the weekend after she agreed to pick up drugs for a group of people in exchange for a meal at a McDonald's restaurant, authorities said.

According to an arrest report, the victim met Kortney Ellis, 27,Ā  Sunday night at McDonald's at 599 NW 62nd St.

Police said Ellis picked up the woman and her 4-year-old son later in the night with three men tagging along and took her to a convenience store to pick up the drugs.

The victim came out of the store and told Ellis that the drugs were not there yet and that they were coming from Fort Lauderdale, the report said.

Police said Ellis and her friends took the woman and child to an apartment at 6480 NW Sixth Ave., where the woman was led to a bedroom by Ellis and two men, Amos Currie, 22, and Kadrian Spencer, 21.

Police said Ellis struck the victim several times with a wooden stool and digitally penetrated the victim to make sure that she wasn't hiding drugs in her vagina.

Ellis took the victim's cellphone away so she couldn't call 911 and Currie pistol-whipped the victim, the report said.

Police said Ellis left the room and told Currie and Spencer to "do their thing" and "handle their business."

Police said the men raped the woman and forced her to perform oral sex on them.

Ellis came back into the room, beat the woman again and took her to another room, where two other men raped the victim, authorities said.

Police said a fourth man, Davares Rowe, 24, entered the room and threatened to kill the woman and her son.

The victims were then ordered at gunpoint to get into a car and they were dropped off in Crandon Park, the report said.

Police said Ellis took the woman's wallet.

Ellis and the three men were arrested Monday on charges of armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping, burglary with assault/battery, robbery and aggravated battery.

Police said Ellis denied the allegations against her.

The Broward Sheriff's Office Child Protective Investigations Section has also opened an investigation because the victim's child was present during the incident. Authorities said the boy "has been sheltered."
