Woman killed, 4 others injured in shooting at Golden Glades Park and Ride

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ One woman was killed and four othersĀ were injured early Sunday in a shooting at the Golden Glades Park and Ride, Miami-Dade police said.

The victims, ages 17 toĀ 23, were being dropped off at the park and ride when an unknown shooter or shooters opened fire, Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said in a news release.

Zabaleta said the shooters were in a white or sliver vehicle, believed to be a 2010 to 2014 Hyundai Sonata, with damage to right front and passenger side.Ā 

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified her as Jasmine Dixon, 21. Authorities said she was struck by a vehicle while running away after hearing the gunshots.

Her father told Local 10 News that his daughter left with a friend Saturday night to go to a birthday party, took an UberĀ to the park and ride lot and, a few hours later, received a call that she was dead.

"We just heard gunshots, like, and it was coming from all directions," witnessĀ RunikaĀ Jeangilles said.

The other victims were identified as Quanisha Hepburn, 18, who was shot in the upper and lower parts of her body. She is listed in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.Ā 

Kandisha Rodgers, 23, was possibly struck by a vehicle. She had lacerations to her right cheek and abrasions to both knees. She is listed in stable condition at Jackson North Medical Center.

Danesha Goulbourne,17, received a wound to her right shoulder, right arm, right side of neck and clavicle. She is listed in stable condition at Aventura Hospital.

Lakeesha Hayes, 20, was possibly struck by the vehicle and has a fracture to her right ankle and road rash on the left side of her face, elbow, thigh and knee. She is listed in stable condition at Aventura Hospital.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
