Woman says mother killed in triple homicide was in 'wrong place at the wrong time'

Lisa Foreman, 50, found executed inside home with boyfriend, boyfriend's son

LAUDERHILL, Fla. ā€“ A South Florida woman is still searching for answers more than a month after her mother was killed inside her Lauderhill home, along with her boyfriend and his son.

Quowanda Ford-Brown spoke exclusively to Local 10 News reporter Erica Rakow on Thursday.

"On Sept. 5, when that happened, that was like half of your heart just been removed," Ford-Brown said. "That was my best friend. We talked actually every day."

Ford-Brown showed up to her mother's boyfriend's house the day of the killing and found a massive crime scene.

Police found three people dead inside the home, who they said were executed, including Lisa Foreman, 50, Dwight Brown, 42, and his son, Denzel Brown, 21. One of the victims had been tied up.

"You can't think of anybody that would want to do this to her?" Rakow asked.

"No. I just believe she was at the wrong place at the wrong time," Ford-Brown said.

To those who knew her, Foreman was a selfless woman who was all about her family. She was also an adored employee at the Broward Clerk of Courts office, and worked there for 28 years.

"(She was) someone with a big heart, someone full of love," Ford-Brown said.

Police said Dwight Brown's house was targeted, but they don't know why.Ā

"He really made her happy, so I never wondered about his character, or what he did, or anything," Ford-Brown said.

No arrests or solid leads have come in nearly two months after the killing, and Foreman's family is begging for someone to come forward.

"Sept. 5, it was my mother, but today or tomorrow, it could be your mother, or your family member," Ford-Brown said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
