Women steal $2,450 worth of liquor from Weston Walgreens, deputies say

Thieves use tote bags to conceal 22 bottles

WESTON, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for two women who they said stole 22 bottles of liquor from a Walgreens Liquor store in Weston.

The theft was reported Feb. 8 at the Walgreens at 1751 Bonaventure Blvd.

Deputies said the women used large tote-style purses to conceal the stolen bottles, valued at about $2,450.

The stolen liquor included five bottles of Cîroc Apple, one bottle of Cîroc Peach, one bottle of Cîroc Pineapple, two bottles of Cîroc Mango, four bottles of Patrón, three bottles of Grey Goose and six bottles of Hennessy.

Authorities said one of the thieves even reached behind the register to grab one of the bottles while the clerk was ringing up a customer.

Anyone with information about the women's identities is asked to call Detective Juan Hernandez at 954-389-2010. Anonymous tips can be made to Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
