FHP: Man tasered after running onto Interstate 95

Troopers say man was being uncooperative

MIAMI – A man had to be tasered by troopers after authorities say he started running on Interstate 95 and was being uncooperative.

A state trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol said the man was initially driving in his car, stopped his car and then proceeded to run into the express lanes.

The state trooper said the man, who has a history of mental health issues, put "his and the troopers' lives in danger."

FHP was unaware if the man had committed a crime beforehand.

The man was taken to the hospital where troopers said he will be Baker Acted due to his mental condition. His name wasn't given.
