Edward Walden, once an innocent boy, is now 24. Hollywood police arrested him after they said he tried to kill a man.

About 1 p.m., Nov. 23, Walden and the older man got in a fight at MLK Community Center, 2400 Charleston St., in Hollywood.Ā  That was when Walden first pulled out a gun, the victim said.

Walden would later pull out that gun again at 7:43 p.m., outside of Pops Old Time BBQ, 2602 N. 22 Ave. He pointed the revolver at the man, who was standing outside the restaurant, Rillo said in the arrest report.

The victim said Walden shouted, "This is a robbery. Give me everything."

The victim said he ran and tripped on toy gun that was on the floor. Police said Walden shot at him three times -- once in the upper chest and twice in the buttocks. Police said there weren't any witnesses.

Walden was charged with attempted first-degree premeditated murder and robbery with a firearm.
