The flight crew says Calderoni was asked several times to shut off his electronic equipment and refused. He used loud and abusive language, and at one point, stretched his legs into the aisle blocking the path of the flight attendant. Calderoni allegedly even told the flight attendant she "must be miserable in her job."

The Silver Airways pilot considered turning around the Tampa to Key West flight, but continued on to the destination because of the other passengers on board.

Calderoni was booked into jail, charged with disturbing the peace.
