With only one win and three losses, the Panthers sit seventh in the Atlantic Division. The Lightning routed the Panthers 7-2 on Thursday.
Tim Thomas isn't expected to play against the Penguins, according to coach Kevin Dineen, who pulled goalie Jacob Markstrom midway through the third period Thursday after he allowed six goals on 24 shots.
The undefeated Penguins lead the Metropolitan Division.
