TAMARAC, Fla. – Authorities investigated a reported bomb threat at Temple Beth Torah Sha'aray Tzedek on Saturday in Tamarac. 

The Broward Sheriff's Office bomb squad responded to the synagogue at 5700 NW 94 Ave. Deputies closed access at 57th Street during the investigation, which ended about 1:40 p.m.

BSO deputies focused on an abandoned duffel bag, according to BSO  spokeswoman Gina Carter. They determined it was not a threat. 

Temple Beth Torah Sha'aray Tzedek hosts a Hebrew school, early childhood services and a youth group, according to their site.  Their Shabbat morning services are at 9 a.m. 

Earlier this year, federal authorities investigated possible civil rights violations in connections with threats to Jewish Community Centers across the country.
