Fire truck catches on fire in Miami Beach

Firefighters help colleagues in trouble

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Firefighters found themselves in trouble in South Beach on Saturday when one of their truck's engines caught on fire.

The truck fire was due to an electrical issue, according to Miami Beach Fire Rescue's Capt. Charlton Price.

"It was ironic that the fire truck was on fire," Brian Dass said. "But they did a great job, they literally had to call the fire department for help."

Witnesses said the truck caused some traffic delays on 5th Street at Meridian Avenue.
