Lazaro Perea was working as a security guard at Collins Park when he said a man stood in front of him at the 2100 block of Collins Avenue. Another man quickly walked up behind him and pointed a gun to his neck.

"Money, money," the gunman demanded, according to Perea.

During the 9:30 p.m. robbery, he said a third man stood next him. After Suarez gave up his iPhone7, one of them struck him in the face. After the man hit him near his left eye, Suarez said he instinctively fought back.

Suarez said he knocked the weapon off the gunman's hand, and it fell in a grassy area, but they overpowered him. He said one of the men picked it back up, and the trio got away, while pointing the gun in his direction.

Surveillance "video shows three males believed to have been involved, park and exit a 2000-2006 white Ford Taurus with dark tints," Miami Beach Police Department spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said in an e-mail.

Rodriguez released the images on Tuesday afternoon, as detectives were asking the public for help. Rodriguez added that anyone with information on the Feb. 22 incident should call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
