Police release new clues in Canadian couple's murder

David Pichosky, Rochelle Wise found dead inside Hallandale Beach condo

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Police on Wednesday released a sketch of a woman seen outside the condominium of a Canadian couple who was killed nearly a year ago.

Neighbors found the bodies of Toronto natives David Pichosky, 72, and Rochelle Wise, 66, inside their condo at the Venetian Park townhouse complex on Jan. 10, 2013. The medical examiner ruled the two died of asphyxiation.

"It's a very complex case," said Hallandale Beach Police Chief Dwayne Flournoy.

Investigators say the couple had attended a nearby Jewish temple and then went to a nearby Walmart on East Hallandale Beach Boulevard on Jan. 8.

They went home after visiting Walmart. On Jan. 9 about 8 a.m., they contacted a relative via FaceTime.

Surveillance video captured a woman outside the couple's condo that day. Police released a sketch (pictured) of her Wednesday.

Wise's wedding band also remains missing.

Her ring (pictured) is described as about size 6 and-a-half with a platinum finish and five half carat white diamonds on the top of the ring in a half-moon shape. The ring may be engraved with "DCC" inside the band and has a size-adjustable locking mechanism located at the base of the ring. It's valued at $16,000.

"What is unique about that ring is that it has a clasp on the bottom of it, which allows it to be slid over the knuckle and then closed as it gets to the base of the finger," said Flournoy.

"We truly believe that there were two or more involved in this crime," said Flournoy.

Investigators believe the two killers were women based on DNA evidence, he added.

Police also released photos of an imprint of an Adidas Nova sneaker found nearby (pictured).

A $57,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

"This special man was killed -- he was my dad -- and you only get one mom and dad in your lifetime and mine was taken from me," said Pichosky's daughter, Sari Rosenblum.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI are assisting with the investigation. The Box Advertising also volunteered to post mobile and digital billboards of the Crime Stoppers ad on a box truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 954-457-1438 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
