Funeral held for boy killed in nail salon shooting

SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. ā€“ A funeral was held Monday morning at St. Mark's Catholic Church for 10-year-old Aaron Vu, who was shot and killed at his family's nail salon.

Vu was buried at Hollywood Memorial Gardens.

"It's terrible," said his neighbor, Ron Solomon. "It's hard."

Two armed robbers stormed into Nail Hong-Kong in northwest Miami-Dade County on Nov. 22, shooting the boy and his 42-year-father, Hai Nam Vu, as they ran out.

"If you take the money, why not just go? Why do you have to kill?" said Jasmine Barclay, a family friend.

A week later, police arrested 19-year-old Anthawn Ragan Jr. (pictured below) and charged him with first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, armed robbery, aggravated assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
