MIAMI – Miami Children's Hospital will be renamed "Nicklaus Children's Hospital" on Friday in recognition of a $60 million pledge from the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation and its founders Jack and Barbara Nicklaus.
The name change will be effective Friday, on the hospital's 65th anniversary. The hospital will also get a new logo.

A Miami Children's Hospital spokeswoman said the hospital's eight outpatient and urgent care centers will also bear the new name.
Miami Children's Health Foundation recently announced the Nicklauses would serve as the chairs of Together For The Children, a campaign aimed at raising $150 million by 2017.
