Helicopter lands on Hollywood golf course

Boatpix.com helicopter makes emergency landing at Orangebrook Golf & Country Club

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A helicopter made an emergency landing on a South Florida golf course Thursday afternoon.

The Robinson R22, single-engine helicopter landed at the Orangebrook Golf & Country Club in Hollywood.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Brennan told Local 10 News that the helicopter made a precautionary landing on the golf course. She said the pilot was the only person on board.

Kyle Lendick told Local 10 he was golfing when he noticed the helicopter flying low.

"We came around the trees and it was landed right there," Lendrick said.

Sky 10 was flying above the golf course as a handful of Hollywood police cars and two golf carts were stopped near the helicopter.

The writing on the tail of the helicopter said Boatpix.com.

Police haven't said why the helicopter was forced to land on the golf course.

The FAA is investigating.
