Woman rescued from fire at Hialeah home

Fire under investigation

HIALEAH, Fla. – A woman was rescued from her home after a fire started there Sunday.

Hialeah fire Capt. Cesar Espinosa said firefighters were able to contain the flames to the unit where it began at 760 East 44th St.

The home sustained smoke and water damage, causing 10 occupants to request the American Red Cross' assistance.

The fire is under investigation.
