HIALEAH, Fla. – A Hialeah man was arrested Sunday in connection with the theft of more than $10,500 worth of tools from pickup trucks over the past two months, the Hialeah Police Department said.
Ifrain Roque-Garcia was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt in his Chevrolet Trailblazer, and officers learned that his license was suspended.

Roque-Garcia had 10 license suspensions on his record, four revocations and was labeled a habitual traffic offender, police said.
Upon his arrest for driving with a suspended license, police linked Roque-Garcia’s vehicle to the sites of four vehicle burglaries in which tools were taken out of the beds of pickups parked in Home Depot parking lots.
Roughly $10,579 worth of tools were reported stolen, police said.
Garcia has been charged with driving with a suspended license, grand theft and burglary.
Hialeah police are continuing their investigation of Roque-Garcia, whom they believe may be connected to similar vehicle burglaries in the city.
