The man is believed to have been part of a strong armed robbery at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 3.

According to police, two men surprised a woman, as she was unlocking her door at 1400 SW 72nd Ave., in Plantation.

The two men took her purse and jewelry. And another man driving a black Lexus SUV -- with a tag that started with "U11" -- picked up the robbers.

They "fled the area at a high rate of speed towards Peters Road," Detective Robert Rettig said in statement.

During a scuffle, the woman suffered minor injuries, police said.

Detectives were glad someone was clumsy. About 45 minutes later, a man was using the Plantation victim's credit card at Popeye's, 5534 NW 7th Ave., in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood.

"The driver, who is using the victim's credit card at the drive thru window, was wearing gloves," Rettig said. The man also "attempted to conceal himself after noticing the video surveillance camera." But it was too late.

Saglio hopes that the surveillance video may provide police with more clues.Ā  He was asking any one with information, to call him at 954-797-2165 or to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
