MIAMI – Local 10 took home seven Emmy awards at the Suncoast Chapter Ceremony Saturday night.
Meteorologist Trent Aric and reporter Ben Kennedy each took home two awards for the night.

Kennedy, Aric, Matthew Fuhrman, Amanda Stanley and Aliana Perez were recognized in both continuous news coverage and weather categories.
Local 10 was nominated in a total of 11 categories.
The Suncoast Emmy Awards were held at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood Beach.
The ceremony awards excellence in TV news for all of Florida, Puerto Rico, parts of Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia.
