MIAMI – The light will always be on at a new production facility planned for Krispy Kreme doughnuts in South Florida.

The doughnut chain reported it will ramp up doughnut production with the addition of new facilities in Miami, Los Angeles and Minnesota’s Twin Cities.

The move would provide more “delivered fresh daily” doughnuts to grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores and McDonald’s chains across the country.

The dessert maker partnered with McDonald’s in 2022 and by the end of 2023 sent fresh doughnuts to nearly 13,500 restaurants across the nation.

Krispy Kreme is also launching a pilot program to distribute the doughnuts in Los Angeles and Washington D.C., using a third-party logistics service that would use the company’s branded trucks and drivers.
