Weekend weather in South Florida: Hot with 30% chance of rain Saturday, 50% Sunday

Broward faces afternoon thunderstorm threat

Saturday is going to be another record-hot day in South Florida.

The high temperatures will be in the middle 90s, but factor in the extremely high humidity, and these will feel like 105 to 110 degrees.

There will be a couple of thunderstorms. The highest chance will be in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The lowest in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

The heat advisory in South Florida comes with a severe thunderstorm threat on Saturday after 2 p.m., in Broward County.

Any storm that develops could be severe, with damaging wind gusts, hail, and frequent lightning. The higher chance for storms will move in on Sunday.
