Sky 10 was overhead as a large portion of the back of the house was missing.

A shed next to the house also caught fire.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Greg May said flames were shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived.

Nobody was injured in the fire, but two dogs were inside the house at the time. One dog survived, but the other dog died.

May said firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the house next door.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
