Police looking for 2 who robbed Speedy's Food Store

2 disguised men involved in armed robbery at Speedy's in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Fort Lauderdale police are looking for two men who robbed Speedy's Food Store, located at 861 Northeast 62nd Street, late Monday.

Both men walked into the store about 11:30 p.m. wearing ski masks, gloves, and baggy clothing.

The first robber approached the store clerk with a handgun, demanding all of the money from the register, police say. The second robber stood by as a look out.

The clerk complied with the robber's demands and gave them money from the register.

The robbers then jumped into a Honda Accord and drove away. The vehicle is described as white, early 2000 four-door model with a distinctive white front grill.

The first robber is described as in his 20s, approximately 5'5" to 5'7", medium build, and last seen wearing a ski mask, a dark long sleeve shirt, dark pants, and sunglasses.

The second robber is described as in his 20s, approximately 6" to 6'2", thin build, and last seen wearing a dark ski mask, a white long sleeve shirt, and jeans.
