Miami police unveil T3 Patrollers

MIAMI – The Miami Police Department unveiled its new T3 Patrollers, a sort of jet ski on land.

"Really, it's a chariot," said Miami Police Officer Hector Herrera. "Better balance. This, you can leave it and not worry where you got to lean it against. The Segway, you can not just leave it."

Officers will use their nine units in high-traffic areas where it's hard to maneuver in a car, like Coconut Grove, the Design District, and downtown.

"It's easier to navigate the roads with this and a bicycle than it is in your police vehicle," said Herrera. "It's a good thing for the citizens of Miami."
