DAVIE, Fla. – A pedestrian is recovering after being struck by a police cruiser Monday morning.
It happened at University Drive and Northwest 33rd Street about 7:30 a.m.

Davie police said an officer was making a U-turn when the pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk and onto the street.
The officer's car struck the pedestrian, who was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
