Pharmacy shooting suspect arrested

US Marshals arrest Ifrain Quintana in Naples

MIAMI – U.S. Marshals arrested a man suspect of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend outside a pharmacy in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood last month.

Ifrain Quintana, 42, was apprehended in Naples on Friday. The Collier County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.

SWAT made the arrest because authorities believed Quintana was armed.

Quintana is suspected of fatally shooting Ariadna Gonzalez Campa, his ex-girlfriend, on Dec. 28.

Police said the shooting happened outside the La Milagrose Pharmacy and Discount. The pharmacy is on the corner of Southwest 8th Avenue and 5th Street in Little Havana.

Celina Quintana, the suspect's mother, said her son has been mentally unstable since he was a boy. According to the mother, the suspect spent time in a psychiatric hospital and once said he would end his life if something ever happened to Campa. The woman said her son and the victim met about two years ago at a family party. Both are from Cuba, she said.
