MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā The Miami-Dade Police Department has released a sketch of a man they said abducted a woman and drove her to a bank to take out cash.
According to detectives, the 19-year-old victim was abducted at gunpoint in a parking garage at the Miami Dade College campus in Kendall while she was sitting in her car.
Police said the man entered her passenger seat and ordered her to drive to a bank at U.S. Highway 1 and 128th Street to take out cash at an ATM.
Police said the man then ordered her to drive back to the college to drop him off.
Detectives said the man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Students told Local 10 News that they received an email from the college notifying them of the attack.
"I was surprised because we've never had a problem here," one student said.
Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
